Accounting Redundancies
According to a recent June study, it’s said that the number of accounting jobs between the top 50 UK companies has fallen by 5%, which is estimated to be around 3,500 people.
With the job market being increasingly competitive news such as this only makes matters worse.
Companies such as KPMG managed to reduce workers days from 5 to 4 in the hope that this would avoid laying off staff. This was last winter. Today they are looking at reducing staff by 200.
When you are greeted with good news about the economy, you also get greeted with more bad news.
